Hi! Happy Friday!
I invite you to share space with me for a minute. This space is warm and cosy and safe, kinda like the picture above.
Now that we are together, I would like to share a few things with you -
You are not alone - whether you are struggling, lonely, unmotivated, frustrated, sad or angry. I guarantee you are not on this path by yourself, even though it may feel like it.
It is okay to let your guard down and let people in. If you need help, ask for it. We aren't meant to experience this life by ourselves.
If you are happy and thriving, good for you! Even though the world is in chaos, you are allowed to have your own reality, you are allowed to be the sunshine on a grey day. Do not dim your light. In fact, invite (not force) others to it.
Find the goodness in the world (I heard this line on a podcast last night). It is so easy to get sucked into the doom and gloom, especially with how much it's projected at us. There is still kindness and adorable little humans and joy and music that can uplift your soul....it is up to YOU to find it!
Last but not the least, acknowledge that you are doing the best you can, with the tools you have available. You are not perfect, you will never be perfect and no one expects you to be - drop the judgment.
I just heard about Toronto possibly being one of the loneliest cities in Canada which honestly made me a little sad. No one deserves to feel that way and yet it is up to us to make the effort to form meaningful connections.
This is my way of connecting with you. I don't know if it will work or not, all I can do is try.
I hope to gather with you in person one day.
